DESCRIPTION:Please join us for “Stronger Together – Virtual Down Syndrome Support Group” for Parents\, Caregivers and Adult Siblings\, on select Saturdays at 10 am PST/1 pm EST.  All parents\, caregivers and adult siblings\, not just in San Diego\, are welcome.  This collaboration is open to discussions of all ages and stages of development.\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\nGrab a cup of coffee/tea and join us for our upcoming Virtual Parent/Caregiver Collaboration Support Groups\, scheduled for the following dates in 2026. \nSaturdays at 10am PST / 1pm EST: \nJanuary 10th  \nJanuary 24th – Special Presentation   \nFebruary 7 & 21   \nMarch 7 & 28   \nApril 18 \nThese gatherings are FREE.  Please invite other parents\, caregivers or adult family members (siblings\, grandparent\, aunts or uncles\, etc.) who might be interested.  We welcome families from all areas and states to join us. \nDS Action is proud to have been hosting these groups since 2020.  We recognized that our community would benefit from sharing achievements\, challenges and resources\, for all stages of development and age groups.  So\, we are provided a way to open communication and collaboration. \nThere will be a facilitator(s) who offers structure and support during gatherings. \nDS Action is planning to host additional family support activities and educational opportunities.  Donations are always welcome in order to help our efforts.   Click here to make a donation on our website. \nPlease register and join us.  Do not worry if you are ever running late.  Just join when you can.  We all understand how unpredictable our lives can be at times. \nWatch our newsletters\, website\, online calendar and social media for new information on upcoming virtual events and happenings. \ndownsyndromeaction.org \nfacebook.com/dsaction \ninstagram.com/dsaction

DESCRIPTION:Join the Down Syndrome Association of San Diego\, DS Action and Gigi’s Playhouse – San Diego \non Saturday\, March 21st (1 pm – 4 pm) to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day 2026 in San Diego.\n \nEvent Address:  Nobel Athletic Area\, 8810 Judicial Dr\, San Diego\, CA 92122 (near the playground and basketball court area) \nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\nYou don’t want to miss this event\, as we bring our community together\, with a Picnic in the Park\, to celebrate and raise awareness for people with Down syndrome.\n\n\nWe are excited to see everyone for an afternoon of FUN! It’s a B.Y.O.P. – Bring Your Own Picnic. Please bring chairs\, blankets\, shade cover\, sunscreen and your favorite picnic food & beverage items. We will provide the FUN and ENTERTAINMENT. Enjoy music\, activities\, dancing\, see familiar faces and meet new friends. \nPlease be sure to register for this FREE event by March 16th. Thank you for your cooperation. \nCheck-in between 1 pm – 4 pm at the registration area\, before setting up your family/group’s picnic area. We have reserved a large space at Nobel Athletic Fields and Recreation Center in University City (Nobel and the 805) at the field nearest the playground and basketball court. \nLooking forward to seeing everyone’s smiling faces on Sunday\, March 21st from 1 pm – 4 pm. \n
