SUMMARY:Stronger Together - Down Syndrome Support Group for Parents\, Caregivers and Adult Siblings
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for “Stronger Together – Virtual Down Syndrome Support Group” for Parents\, Caregivers and Adult Siblings\, on select Saturdays at 10 am PST/1 pm EST.  All parents\, caregivers and adult siblings\, not just in San Diego\, are welcome.  This collaboration is open to discussions of all ages and stages of development.\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\nGrab a cup of coffee/tea and join us for our upcoming Virtual Parent/Caregiver Collaboration Support Groups\, scheduled for the following dates in 2025. \nSaturdays at 10am PST / 1pm EST: \nFrequency change for Spring/Summer: We will be changing to once a month from April – July\, to accommodate busier schedules and allow for more in person gatherings.  We will resume twice a month in the Fall/Winter. \nApril 5th \nMay 3rd \nJune 14th \nJuly 19th \nThese gatherings are FREE.  Please invite other parents\, caregivers or family members who might be interested. \nDS Action is proud to have been hosting these groups since 2020.  We recognized that our community would benefit from sharing achievements\, challenges and resources.  So\, we are provided a way to open communication and collaboration. \nThere will be a facilitator(s) who offers structure and support during gatherings. \nDS Action is planning to host additional family support activities and educational opportunities.  Donations are always welcome in order to help our efforts.   Click here to make a donation on our website. \nPlease register and join us.  Do not worry if you are ever running late.  Just join when you can.  We all understand how unpredictable our lives can be at times. \nWatch our newsletters\, website\, online calendar and social media for new information on upcoming virtual events and happenings. \ndownsyndromeaction.org \nfacebook.com/dsaction \ninstagram.com/dsaction

SUMMARY:Point Loma Nazarene University's 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt - 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, April 15th\, from 4:30pm – 7:00pm\, as Point Loma Nazarene University hosts the 13th Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Parent Reception for DS Action Families.  Come out and enjoy this FREE event.  You MUST register to attend\, as space is limited. \nREGISTER HERE \nThis event is for individuals with Down syndrome (of all ages) and their immediate families. \nPLNU students will offer families support by engaging children and individuals with Down syndrome in fun activities\, getting refreshments and the main event… the Easter Egg Hunt. This will provide parents/caregivers time to relax and talk with each other. \nIMPORTANT NOTE:  The Easter Egg Hunt Activity will be for all persons with Down syndrome (all ages) and siblings (only up to 12 years of age).  Also\, there will be some coordination changes so that all involved in the activity have an opportunity to collect eggs for their baskets. \nPlease be sure to RSVP by April 7th\, as we need to know how many adults and children will be attending.  There is a limit to the number of total guests\, due to the available space at the location.  We look forward to seeing you there! \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Sharla Hank at sharla.hank@dsaction.com or (619) 694-4615.
